1 Getting Started
Install Plex on your device
Plex is the app you'll watch everything in. It's free and works on phones, tablets, smart TVs, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, game consoles β basically anything with a screen.
Search your device's app store for Plex, or download from plex.tv/apps-devices.
Sign in with the account you were invited on
You should have received an email invitation from Plex. Click the link inside to accept, then sign in to the Plex app with the same email and password.
Find the chittybangbang server
Once you're signed in, the chittybangbang server should appear automatically. Tap the menu (β°) and look for it under "More" or in the sidebar. You'll see Movies, TV Shows, and any other libraries that have been shared with you.
2 Watching Something
Pick a movie or show, hit play
That's it. Plex handles the streaming, picks the right quality for your connection, and remembers where you left off across all your devices.
Want to watch on the big TV?
Install Plex on the TV (or use a Roku / Fire Stick / Apple TV / Chromecast) and sign in with the same account. You can also cast from your phone β look for the cast icon while playing something.
Subtitles, audio tracks, quality
Tap the screen while something is playing β controls appear with options for subtitles, language, and video quality. If something looks blurry on a slow connection, try lowering the quality manually.
3 Requesting Something New
Can't find what you want?
Head to requests.famdamflix.com β that's the request portal. Search for the movie or show, click it, and hit Request.
What happens after I request?
The system goes to look for it automatically. Most requests are ready within minutes for popular titles, longer for obscure or brand-new releases. Some things may not be available yet β for example, movies still in theaters.
How do I know when it's ready?
Check the status of your requests at My Account β My Requests. You'll see Pending, Processing, or Available. Once it's Available, it'll show up in Plex.
4 Trouble?
Something not playing
First thing: close the Plex app fully and reopen it. If it still won't play, try a different device β that helps narrow down whether it's the file or the device.
Buffering or choppy playback
Usually a connection issue. Try lowering the video quality in the playback settings, or move closer to your Wi-Fi router. On cellular, switching to a higher quality setting on a strong signal can sometimes help paradoxically.
Can't sign in / forgot password
Reset your Plex password at plex.tv/sign-in. If you still can't get in, message me directly.
